Worship Through Songs
Good day precious children of God—recipients of divine grace and ever-enduring love.
It is not easy to live as a Christian. In fact, it is impossible, humanly speaking, to live lives, which Paul described as, worthy of the calling we have received unless we receive power from on high—the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. The longer we walk with Christ, the deeper is our understanding that not only do we need grace for our justification before God, we need it far more so for our sanctification unto him. We need God’s grace not only for the atonement of our sins and the cancelling of our debts, we need it each and every day of our lives thereafter— to struggle against the flesh, the world and the devil; to face the many trials that come our way; and to live our lives pleasing to the Lord. We need grace upon grace; strength upon strength.
The Living Stone Quartet from Kerala, India, posted this exhortation on YouTube as the introduction to their version of the beloved hymn by Annie Johnson Flint, He Giveth More Grace…
“Christian life does not guarantee an absence of trials and tribulations. It does not offer us a life where we won’t encounter failures and pains. But what it offers is that we will never have to walk alone amidst any of these. When our burdens increase, God will supply us with strength. In afflictions, God will shower His mercy upon us. When we feel that we cannot take it anymore, God is willing to take over because His power has no boundary. And what is even more beautiful is that all the hurdles that we encounter and all the obstacles that we face has got a divine purpose. And that purpose is that we may be transformed into the likeness of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. We need only submit ourselves before a loving, merciful, and powerful God. And He will lead us through.”
His Love has no limits.
His Grace has no measure.
His power has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus.
He Giveth, and Giveth, and Giveth again.
Indeed, God’s grace is sufficient for us and his strength is made perfect in our weakness, so that when we finally come to the end of our self-reliance, then is God’s power released in us and through us—his wonders to perform, for the glory of his name alone. Let us give thanks once more for his all-sufficient grace and all-generous heart.
‘Father, You are good. You exist in infinite goodness and love. Your power, grace, and might shine into the world, giving us the light to lead our way.
We look to You as a standard of goodness to guide us in our choices and decisions. We align our thoughts and actions under Your rule so we will reflect Your goodness. We adore You for revealing to us what we need to do to make Your name great in our spheres of influence. You are good. You are holy. You are righteous. You are powerful. Your name is the name above all names. Your grace covers all. Receive our praise, our worship, and our adoration as we bow before You in all humility, honoring You and loving You always.
Thank You, Father, that Your goodness is a gift raining down on us, watering us with the wealth of Your kindness, Your gentleness, and Your love. And thank You for Your good gifts from above. Thank You for supplying all we need to eat and live each day. Thank you for giving us all we need for our emotional and mental well-being. Thank You for surrounding us with good fellowship in the presence of Your body of Christ. Thank You for giving us the eyes to discern good from evil so we have the wisdom to choose the right path.
We know You are good, and Your goodness strengthens and enables us to live a life that is pleasing to You in all that we do. For Christ’s sake. Amen’ [adapted from Tony Evans]

Scripture Reading
John 21 : 15 – 19 (ESV)
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”
